I am deeply passionate about supporting older adults to enhance their overall health, wellbeing, and quality of life in ways that feel meaningful, respectful, and sustainable. At the heart of my work is a belief that self-awareness is transformative. When we begin to understand ourselves more clearly, genuine change becomes possible, regardless of age or stage of life.

I have worked in the humanities space for almost two decades, with 18 years of experience supporting people across a wide range of life circumstances. My professional journey has included working closely with vulnerable members of the community, including victims of crime and individuals experiencing family violence. In these roles, I provided trauma-informed emotional support and psychological first aid during times of acute stress and uncertainty.

Alongside this, I have worked within aged care and hospital settings, providing psychological assessment and therapeutic support to older adults experiencing a range of emotional, cognitive, behavioural, and adjustment-related challenges. These experiences have deepened my understanding of the unique psychological needs that can arise later in life, including navigating changes in health, independence, identity, grief and loss, relationships, and transitions into residential care.

My approach is grounded in evidence-based practice, balanced with warmth, compassion, and genuine human connection. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where older adults feel heard, valued, and understood. I work collaboratively with individuals, families, and care teams to support emotional wellbeing, strengthen coping skills, and foster a sense of purpose and connection.

Therapy, for me, is not about “fixing” someone; it is about walking alongside people as they navigate life's challenges, draw upon their strengths, and continue to live with dignity, meaning, and fulfilment. I believe that psychological growth and wellbeing remain possible throughout the lifespan, and I feel privileged to support older adults in that journey.
